TV Outfits and Where to Get Them

I thought it started with The Leggings. I saw them worn by Illana Glazer on Season 2, Episode 8 of Broad City. They were perfect: High waist, hit the perfect point on the ankle, stayed in place with every weird twist and contortion, and the best part of all was the print. A colorful, quirky, Fruit Loop print.

I was obsessed. I spent hours scouring the internet to find them. (Spoiler alert: They're sold out.)

I thought Wow... I've never been so fascinated by a TV outfit before... BUT I searched my soul and found that to be a lie.

It really started with Full House. I wish I could say it was the Olsen twins that piqued my fashion interest all those years ago but, my friends, I'll be honest, It was Kimmy, the weirdo next door.

I was infatuated with her many plastic accessories, the bright colors, the fanny packs! Oh such 90's bliss! I know this about myself now:

The Leggings.

The angels at ShopYourTV.com have gathered an extensive collection of as seen on TV outfits. It pretty amazing. The entry for my beloved Zara Terez Fruit Loop leggings reported them sold out. I couldn't find them anywhere. So, upon further research I found a couple of alternatives

I recently purused their collection devoted to Tahani Al-Jamil (played by Jameela Jamil) on The Good Place. I can't get enough of her flouncy style

The Boots

Honestly I've never met a boot I didn't like

Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt is a treasure trove of awesome style.

I could go on and on (and I usually do) BUT, to keep this brief, I'll just stick to The Boots worn by Kimmy (played by Ellie Kemper) in season 3.

It took a lot more searching than I was prepared for but I finally found them via Spotern.com Spotern is an awesome resource for hard to find items. If you can't find what you're looking for, throw it out to the Spotern community and other TV fashion junkies will be on the look out for it.
